After earning at-bats as a utility player in Arizona during the 2021 season, Josh Rojas (2B/3B, ARI) was given the opportunity to serve as the team’s everyday third baseman in 2022. There were highlights to his profile, including an improved ct%, eye, and xPX. On the other hand, the results were a pedestrian 30 BPV and .739 OPS. Perhaps most importantly, he struggled mightily defensively, posting an 11th percentile outs above average mark and -1 DRS.
