AL West: Outfield reinforcements coming to Sacramento

The A’s have been ravaged by injuries this year, with season-ending injuries to Shea Langeliers, Nick Kurtz, Jacob Wilson, Brent Rooker, and Tyler Soderstrom. The injuries have opened the door to a lot of playing time for players that may have had a bench role all season, or may have been stuck in Triple-A. With all of the doom and gloom with season-ending injuries, the A’s do have a player on the verge of returning, and that could mix up some future playing time. 

Denzel Clarke has been on the IL since April 22 with a right foot bone bruise. He has been rehabbing at Triple-A for nearly a week and seems to be on the brink of rejoining the A’s. Clarke is not an offensive superstar, hitting .170 with no home runs and two...
