AL East: Can surging O'Neill maintain increased role?

After being relegated to a weak-side platoon role for most of the season, Tyler O'Neill has seen an uptick in playing time against right-handed pitching recently, as he started six consecutive games against a right-handed starter from August 7 through August 12.
O'Neill’s uptick in playing time came as he’s been swinging a hot bat of late (.282/.356/.615 in 84 PA since July 1) and after the trade of Taylor Ward opened up at-bats at designated hitter, where O'Neill has been garnering most of his starts. While O'Neill seems to have a more prominent role for now, a couple of factors call his ability to sustain this role long-term into question.
