NEWS: Texas activated OF Wyatt Langford from the 10-day IL, optioning UT Josh H. Smith to AAA-Round Rock to make room.
IMPACT: High
BHQ SPIN: The Rangers eased Langford back into the lineup in the DH slot on 7/9, but expect his bat somewhere in the lineup every day going forward. Before his latest hamstring strain cost him a couple of weeks, Langford was on a tear, slashing .317/.371/.634 with seven home runs in just 89 PA after returning from a forearm strain. The key will be keeping Langford on the field, as the 24-year-old has missed more than his share of time to soft tissue injuries over his young MLB career.
