Atlanta turns SS role over to Dubón

NEWS: The Braves optioned shortstop Jim Jarvis to Triple-A Gwinnett and announced that Mauricio Dubón would serve as the team’s shortstop for the rest of 2026. Atlanta also added outfielder Brewer Hicklen to the team’s 26-man roster.

BHQ SPIN: Dubon is now projected to play 80% of the time with most of that coming at shortstop. We’ve left Jarvis with a token 5% playing time projection. Hicklen had been added to the Atlanta roster as the 27th player for the Braves’ game at the Little League World Series. Instead of returning Hicklen to Gwinnett, Atlanta sent Jarvis to the minors.
