NEWS: The Padres acquired LHP Robbie Ray from the Giants and RHP Casey Mize from the Tigers. The Padres shipped LHP Kash Mayfield and LHP Jackson Wolf to the Tigers and RHP Miguel Mendez and SS Joniel Hernandez to the Giants in return.

BHQ SPIN: Ray (3.08 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 9.8% K-BB% over 122.2 IP) and Mize (2.70 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, 19.3% K-BB% over 86.2 IP) will join RHP Michael King at the top of the Padres rotation.
