Morel injury creates early opportunity for De Los Santos in Miami

NEWS: Miami placed Christopher Morel on the 10-day IL and called up Deyvison De Los Santos.
IMPACT: Medium
BHQ SPIN: Morel was about to be given the first shot at holding down Miami’s first base job, but before he could even take the field, he suffered a left oblique strain. The 26-year old is expected to miss four-to-six weeks. As a result, we’ve cut his playing time projection to 45%. The main beneficiary of Morel’s injury could be De Los Santos. The 22-year old will be making his MLB debut when he sees the field with the Marlins. The expectation is that he will see action versus lefties, and for now we’ve given him a 25% playing time projection. Other candidates to play first for Miami include
