NEWS: The Red Sox are “likely will activate” both OF Roman Anthony and SS Trevor Story in advance of the team’s series finale against the Yankees August 30, according to the Boston Globe.

BHQ SPIN: Both Anthony (finger) and Story (abdomen) had been rehabbing at AAA-Worcester and have last appeared in the majors in May. Anthony found his groove in the minors a bit more quickly (7-for-25, 2 HR, 2 2B) than Story (6-for-35), though he did hit a couple of balls hard in his final rehab game. Manager Chad Tracy has indicated that Anthony will serve as his leadoff hitter, at least against right-handed pitchers, with OF Jahmai Jones perhaps continuing that duty against lefties.
