State of the Projections

We're at a point in the preseason calendar that makes for a nice time to check in on our overall process of generating player projections. So, this week we dust off the keyboard in the GM's Office to offer a refresher on our overall projections process, check off some recent milestones, and look ahead to what's still to come between now and Opening Day.
How projections get updated
Let's start with an overview of how the projections get created and updated. Every projection has two components: a baseline performance projection, and a playing time component. The performance component is generated offline and stored in the guts of the site. You can see the playing time component for any player on their PlayerLink page, or at a team/league...
