DAILY MATCHUPS: Tuesday action includes deGrom return

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: Sixteen games are on the MLB docket for Tuesday. The Rockies and Padres are responsible for the surplus: they’ll play a pair at Petco Park in a day-night twin bill. The day sets up as a warm and humid one across much of the baseball weather map. And Tuesday sets up as a deep green one on the Matchup Ratings: more than a few top-shelf options will toe the rubber on the second day of August. Two-time NL Cy Young Award winner Jacob deGrom looks to get back to that elite level with his return from the IL.
