DAILY MATCHUPS: Nola one of many solid Wednesday SP options

Today's Overview/Schedule/Weather: Wednesday’s slate is a full one with 15 games. A lot of solid starting pitching options are toeing slabs in home games especially. ARI@CIN could be impacted by a rainy night in Southwest Ohio. Some double-digit winds to consider: hitters’ breezes for COL@SF and NYY@MIN, pitchers’ winds for TOR@KC and TEX@CLE.

 

Notable Starts:

Logan Gilbert is an especially good strikeout play for Wednesday. Gilbert owns a 9.6 Dom over his last five starts, and his SwK numbers have been trending the right way (14.5% over the last month). He tossed seven shutout frames against the Astros two starts back, and HOU is a near-average contact group against RHPs.
